Auticon has received an honorary IT INNOVATION award at the IT INNOVATION Summit on the 3rd of July in Munich. The expert jury rewarded Auticon’s innovative concept to employ IT specialists with autism.
Auticon’s innovative concept to employ IT specialists on the autism spectrum received particular honours at the IT INNOVATION Summit in Munich, organised by Finaki Germany. ‘This award is a fantastic recognition of our approach to facilitate autism related strengths and skills within the framework of IT quality assurance’, says Kurt Schöffer, Auticon’s managing director.
‘We are particularly pleased to receive the award at such a highly sophisticated event’. 34 companies altogether have been nominated in the categories Technology, Business and Consumer, and were awarded one prize per category. The event is amongst others sponsored by Accenture, Google Enterprise and T-Systems. The Finaki Group has been launched as a software service provider in Paris in 1989 and since then increasingly specialised in hosting IT management conferences.
Many people on the autism spectrum have difficulties accessing the mainstream labour market. A mere 5-10% are in skilled employment in Germany. Auticon offers employment at competitive salaries, focussing on autism-specific talents and skills. Many autistic employees have remarkable strengths in the areas of concentration and pattern recognition, and are interested in IT, physics, mathematics and technology. Auticon runs offices in Berlin, Munich, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Stuttgart. A 6th location in Hamburg launches September 2014.
